Have you noticed that we are living in a world surrounded by AI: smart speakers, voice assistants, simulated robots, automatic translation, driverless cars, AI education, AI medical care... AI is increasingly affecting our lives.

But if you think about it carefully, the more mature applications of AI are still limited to those fields. The actual experience they bring is still not satisfactory. Sometimes, it is jokingly called "artificial intelligence", which actually reflects the problem that the technology is greatly discounted when it is applied.

AI applications are not as good as expected

Regarding the so-called "difficulty in implementation", Professor Yang Qiang of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology said,In the laboratory environment, technology has achieved great success, but when applied to actual life and production, it often fails to produce the expected results and fails to solve problems.

Because AI is not like Office and other applications that can be used directly. AI models need to be trained, and training generally requires labeled data. It is also necessary to continuously increase the model's experience, find appropriate feedback, help expand the model, and integrate different data to improve its applicability.

Different problems require different designs and solutions. No matter how cool the theory is, if it cannot be applied to business and practice, it will become out of touch.

How to use AI in practice may be a headache for many people. In addition to active exploration, it also requires guidance from experts.

Do you attend conferences? The kind with lots of experts?

Will be in JuneConvened AI Conference The Beijing stop may bring you some new insights and inspirations from the perspective of industry veterans.

Because this conference, which brings Silicon Valley to China, brings together many big names in the AI industry, they will focus on discussing how to apply AI technology to real-world scenarios.

Haven’t heard of this conference? No problem, check out the speakers!

Past guests include:Fei-Fei Li, Michael Jordan, Rena el Kaiouby, Peter Norvig, Li Jia and Lili Cheng And so on, these heavyweights in the AI world.

Guests of the previous conference

This year's confirmed lecturers are from major technology companies, including Baidu, Google, Facebook, eBay, Bonsai, Uber, Microsoft, Alibaba, Amazon, SAS, Unity, SalesForce, IBM, Berkeley, Stanford and Oxford University.

Among them, the first heavyweight guests announced are:

Ion Stoica

Ion Stoica is a professor of EECS at the University of California, Berkeley, co-founder of AMPLab, director of RISELab, and ACM fellow.

He has extensive knowledge in cloud computing, distributed systems, and computer networks. His masterpieces include: Apache Spark, Apache Mesos, Tachyon, Chord DHT and Dynamic Packet State (DPS), etc.He co-founded Conviva and Databricks with the developers of Apache Spark.

In addition, he leads RISELab, which has achieved remarkable results in the field. RISELab's expertise is in open source algorithms and platforms that ensure the feasibility, intelligence and security of computing systems by providing real-time decision making.

In 2018, the National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded RISELab a Computer Expedition Award and a $10 million grant. In addition to the NSF Expedition Award, RISELab has also established long-term partnerships with many giant companies.

Pete Warden

Pete Warden is the Technical Lead for the Mobile and Embedded TensorFlow Group in the Google Brain team.

Before joining Google, he was the founder and CTO of Jetpac. He led a team to create a unique data product: analyzing data from more than 140 million photos on Instagram and converting them into tourist guides for more than 5,000 cities around the world. He also wrote the world's only beard detection image processing algorithm.

He is also published by O'Reilly Media Author of The Public Data Handbook and The Big Data Glossary, builder of several open source projects including OpenHeatMap and Data Science Toolkit.

Jia Yangqing

Yangqing Jia is the author of the famous deep learning framework Caffe. After graduating from Tsinghua University, he obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. After that, he worked successively at the National University of Singapore, NEC American Laboratory, Google Brain, etc.

In 2016, Jia Yangqing joined Facebook as a research scientist and served as Facebook AI Architecture Director, responsible for cutting-edge AI platform development and research. Not long ago, he resigned from Facebook and joined Alibaba DAMO Academy, which caused quite a stir in the industry.

He has deep expertise in developing open source deep learning software stacks, and many of the components he created are industry standards in the field.

He is also the creator or co-creator of Caffe, TensorFlow, Caffe2, ONNX, and PyTorch 1.0.In addition, he has been working on the design and development of the AI hardware and software ecosystem, as well as the integration of AI research and traditional computer science.

What kind of divine conference is this?

AI Conference 2019 Beijing, hosted by O'Reilly and Intel AI, the slogan of this conference is 「PUT AI TO WORK」Putting artificial intelligence to work.

The grand occasion of the last conference

The purpose of this event is to achieve the collision of AI in the research field and practical applications through sharing and discussion at the conference.

Because of the urgent and pressing demand for information on applied AI in the market, AI Conference has stepped out of the laboratory circle to provide software developers and companies with opportunities and platforms for communication and learning.

The conference will be held in Beijing from June 18 to 21, 2019, and will include training, teaching tutorials, keynote speeches and topic sharing.

Here you can carefully analyze cases, delve into the latest research results, learn how to implement artificial intelligence in your own projects, share emerging best practices in intelligent engineering and applications, reveal the limitations and untapped opportunities of AI, and participate in how AI will change the landscape of the business world.

The conference will cover the following:

AI in the Enterprise: Case Studies and Use Cases, Industry-Specific Applications

The impact of AI on business and society: automation, security, and regulation

Implementing AI projects: applications, tools, architecture, security

Interaction with AI: Design, Metrics, Product Management, Robotics

Models and methods: Enhanced and machine learning, TensorFlow, deep learning, GAN, natural language processing and understanding, speech recognition, computer vision
