The 16th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Technologies
On May 24, the 16th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Technology (ICBBT 2024), co-organized by Chongqing Medical University and Chongqing Bioinformatics Society, will be held at Jinyun Campus of Chongqing Medical University (tentative), Chongqing, China. The main goal of this conference is to promote the research and development of bioinformatics and biomedical technology, and promote communication and cooperation among developers, engineers and researchers.
Professor Pan Yi from the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Chen Ming from Zhejiang University, Professor Tatsuya Akutsu from Kyoto University and others will give keynote speeches at the conference, and will accept papers on topics such as bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, biostatistics, biophysics, and biochemistry.

Seminar on the Application of AI Technology in Chemistry and Materials Science Research
From April 24 to 25, the "Seminar on the Application of AI Technology in Chemistry and Materials Science Research" co-organized by the Institute of Chemistry of Henan Academy of Sciences, DT New Materials, and the Institute of Chemistry of Henan Academy of Sciences Co., Ltd. was officially opened in Zhengzhou, Henan. The seminar invited experts and scholars such as Yu Long, President of the China-Singapore International Joint Research Institute and Chief Scientist of the Institute of Chemistry of Henan Academy of Sciences, Wang Chenhan, Founder and CEO of OpenBayes Bayesian Computing, and Liu Hongsheng, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of South China University of Technology, and industry frontline professionals to share their views on the application of AI in chemistry and materials science from different dimensions.

AI for Science Live Series Episode 8
At 10:00 am on April 24, the 8th AI for Science series of live lectures, jointly organized by the Institute of Natural Sciences of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Shanghai National Center for Applied Mathematics (Shanghai Jiao Tong University Branch), officially started. The lecture was given by Pascal Notin, a research leader from the Marks lab of Harvard Medical School. The theme of the lecture was "Hybrid protein language models for functional protein design". He introduced various hybrid sequence-only and sequence-label model architectures and discussed their advantages in different functional protein design tasks.

Bio-IT World 2024
Recently, the Bio-IT World 2024 conference was held in Boston, USA. The conference aims to promote the future development of precision medicine.
