LamaH-CE contains runoff and meteorological time series for 859 measured catchments along with various (catchment) attributes. The hydrometeorological time series have daily and hourly temporal resolution and include quality markers. All meteorological and most runoff time series span more than 35 years, which enables long-term analysis with high temporal resolution.
The basic structure of LamaH is similar to that of the United States (https://doi.org/10.5194/hess-21-5293-2017),Chile(https://doi.org/10.5194/hess-22-5817-2018),Brazil(https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-12-2075-2020),U.K(https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-12-2459-2020 ) and Australia (https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-13-3847-2021) but with additional new features like watershed delineation (intermediate catchments) and attributes allowing to consider hydrological networks and river topology in further applications.
The research team provides two different files: 1) Hydrometeorological time series with daily and hourly resolution, which requires about 70 GB of free disk space after decompression. 2) Hydrometeorological time series with daily resolution only, which requires 5 GB. There is no difference between these two files except the temporal resolution of the time series.
