Today, we have reached a significant milestone in our clean energy journey in the Asia-Pacific region by formally announcing our first geothermal energy power purchase agreement (PPA) with Taiwan. Geothermal energy is a technology that harnesses the heat from within the Earth to generate electricity, offering the advantages of stability and low carbon emissions. Unlike solar and wind energy, which can be affected by weather and seasonal changes, geothermal energy provides a consistent power supply throughout the year. This agreement marks a crucial step in our strategy to diversify clean energy sources in the region. The PPA involves two prominent Taiwanese companies, which will benefit from this collaboration by advancing their sustainability goals and improving the local energy mix. Through this partnership, we plan to develop several geothermal energy projects in Taiwan. These projects are expected to deliver several megawatts of clean power to the local grid over the next few years. Beyond providing more renewable and clean energy, this collaboration will also boost local economic growth and create job opportunities. Our aim is to leverage technological innovation and sustainable practices to offer more clean and reliable energy solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. We anticipate that these projects will be operational and delivering power within three to five years. We are highly confident in the success of this partnership and believe it will yield long-term mutual benefits for both parties.
