CI&T and Ford Use AI to Rapidly Expand Warehouse Management Platform Across South America

CI&T and Ford have successfully expanded the Wings parts and warehouse management platform across South America in record time, leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline operations and accelerate delivery. The initiative, completed two months ahead of schedule, showcased how AI-driven innovation can transform complex logistics projects. By integrating AI throughout every stage of the rollout, the collaboration significantly enhanced the accuracy of new feature development and ensured the platform met local regulatory requirements across nine warehouses in the region. CI&T played a key role in adapting Wings to comply with diverse tax regulations while also accelerating the upskilling of Ford’s teams on a legacy system containing over 550,000 lines of code. To meet the aggressive timeline, CI&T organized three dedicated, cross-functional teams that combined development with continuous support, maintaining operational stability while implementing new functionalities. This integrated approach allowed for seamless progress without disrupting ongoing warehouse operations. Wellyson Bianchini, IT Manager at Ford, emphasized the strategic value of the partnership: “We didn’t just want to hire skilled professionals—we wanted a true collaborator. With CI&T, we built a single, unified team that embraced innovation and constant experimentation with AI. This mindset broke through inertia and unlocked new possibilities for what we could achieve.” The project harnessed generative AI through CI&T FLOW, the company’s proprietary AI management system, in combination with Ford’s own large language model and other advanced tools. These technologies enabled the team to extract actionable insights, consolidate vast amounts of information rapidly, and adapt the platform to regional needs with greater speed and precision. Over 4,800 minutes of meetings were analyzed, and more than 50,000 lines of transcript data were processed, significantly improving knowledge sharing, decision-making, and alignment across development phases. Jean Frank, Senior Manager at CI&T, highlighted the broader impact: “This project demonstrates how we combine deep business understanding, cutting-edge technology, and AI to accelerate complex initiatives involving massive data volumes. We didn’t just deliver a platform—we helped Ford transform its regional logistics operations with speed, accuracy, and lasting efficiency.” CI&T (NYSE: CINT) is a global technology partner for over 100 large enterprises and fast-growing companies, with a 30-year history of driving digital transformation.
