SolarWinds Enhances AI Capabilities with Amazon Bedrock Integration for Scalable, Secure Generative AI and End-to-End Observability
SolarWinds has expanded its AI innovation through a strategic integration with Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides access to leading foundation models via a single API. This collaboration enhances SolarWinds’ ability to deliver generative AI capabilities at scale while ensuring robust observability and security across AI-driven systems. The dual integration marks significant progress in agentic AI, enabling SolarWinds to both power its own AI features using Amazon Bedrock and monitor the performance of Bedrock-based workloads directly through SolarWinds Observability SaaS. This end-to-end visibility helps organizations maintain reliability, security, and performance as they adopt advanced AI technologies. At the core of this initiative is the use of Anthropic’s Claude 4 and Claude 4.5 models, accessed through Amazon Bedrock, to enhance key capabilities across the SolarWinds platform. These include automated ticket summarization, intelligent incident correlation, and smart recommendations in SolarWinds Service Desk. These features are powered by the SolarWinds LLM Gateway—a secure, unified platform built on AI by Design principles that abstracts and manages multiple AI models while protecting customer data. Krishna Sai, CTO at SolarWinds, emphasized the importance of a secure and scalable foundation: “Amazon Bedrock gives us a secure, scalable foundation to extend SolarWinds AI across our entire portfolio. It enables our teams to innovate faster and deliver real-time intelligence and downstream value to customers, while ensuring their data remains private, protected, and under their control.” On the observability front, SolarWinds Observability SaaS now treats Amazon Bedrock as a first-class monitored resource. IT teams can now track critical performance metrics such as invocation rates, latency, token throughput, throttling events, and overall system health using customizable dashboards and automated alerts. This level of insight is crucial for maintaining operational resilience in complex AI environments. The integration supports the broader rollout of the SolarWinds AI Agent, introduced earlier in the year. Designed as a digital teammate, the AI Agent leverages natural language interaction to summarize incidents, identify root causes, recommend fixes, and automate multi-step workflows. Recent enhancements like Root Cause Assist and dynamic thresholding further reduce alert fatigue and accelerate resolution times. These advancements are built on SolarWinds’ AI by Design and Secure by Design frameworks, ensuring transparency, safety, and trust in every AI innovation. Features powered by Amazon Bedrock are already available in SolarWinds Service Desk, with broader rollout planned across Observability SaaS, database management, and IT service management products in the near future. The collaboration will be highlighted at AWS re:Invent 2025 in Las Vegas, where SolarWinds will showcase its latest AI capabilities at Booth 1380. For more information, visit www.solarwinds.com.
