Daytona Hits $1 Billion Valuation in FirstMark-Led $60M Round
Agent cloud startup Daytona Platforms raised a $60 million Series B at a $1 billion valuation, bringing total funding to $91 million and establishing itself as a unicorn. The round was led by FirstMark Growth, which also led the company’s $24 million Series A in February, and included participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures. Daytona also attracted backing from prominent technology leaders, including Stripe co-founder Patrick Collison, Shopify chief executive Tobi Lütke, Perplexity founder Aravind Srinivas, Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Datadog chief executive Olivier Pomel, Quora chief executive and OpenAI board member Adam D’Angelo, and Mercor founder Brendan Foody. Founded three years ago and based in New York, Daytona is building a cloud platform tailored to long-running software agents. Founder and chief executive Ivan Burazin said these agents have infrastructure requirements distinct from traditional long-lived software services because they can generate thousands of short, stateful jobs that are not planned in advance. The company’s approach is to provide each agent with an isolated computing environment, giving it access to sandboxed versions of Linux, Windows, macOS and GPU resources on a single platform. The new funding will help Daytona scale its infrastructure as demand grows for developer tools that support autonomous, stateful and continuously operating AI agents.
