Real Chemistry Expands Global Footprint with New Leadership and Regional Hubs to Strengthen International Healthcare Communications

Real Chemistry has announced a major expansion of its global footprint with the appointment of four senior international leaders and the establishment of new regional hubs in Munich, Zurich, and Dubai. The move marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence across key markets including Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. The company’s enhanced regional model combines dedicated hub offices with an expanded affiliate network to deliver consistent, high-quality healthcare communications services tailored to local markets while maintaining a unified global approach. These investments are designed to help clients navigate the complexities of multi-market healthcare environments, from early-stage research to global commercialization. Suzanne Jacobs, Head of International Markets & Group President, Medical Communications, emphasized the importance of balancing global reach with local expertise. “Healthcare companies today are operating in a far more complex, multi-market environment, and they need partners who can think and act globally, while delivering locally,” she said. “By expanding our international leadership and strengthening our regional hub model, we are deepening our ability to support clients across borders – from molecule to market – with the consistency and integrated expertise required to drive meaningful impact worldwide.” The new leadership appointments include: Kath Harrison, Group President, International Growth, based in Dubai, will lead global expansion and end-to-end service delivery across international markets. She will also serve as General Manager of the new Dubai hub, enhancing Real Chemistry’s reach into the Middle East and its ability to support clients across Asia Pacific. Brandon Pletsch, President, Europe, based in Germany, will oversee cross-functional teams and services across the region. A former Managing Partner in Real Chemistry’s Medical Communications group and founder of the company’s scientific visualization division Rad Science, Pletsch brings deep expertise in creative scientific storytelling and AI-driven innovation. Louise Clark, President, Integrated Communications, Global, based in the UK, will drive the global expansion of Real Chemistry’s Integrated Communications business. With extensive in-house experience at Novartis and Pfizer, and most recently at Edelman, Clark brings a strong background in international health communications. Eleanor Read, PhD, President, Integrated Communications, Europe, also based in the UK, will lead the European growth of the Integrated Communications practice. With over two decades of experience at Edelman and IMS Health, Read has a proven track record in health communications and strategic advisory. These executives bring decades of experience advising global pharmaceutical companies, scaling international operations, and building integrated teams in highly regulated markets. Shankar Narayanan, CEO of Real Chemistry, said the company’s investments in global leadership, regional infrastructure, AI, and best-shore capabilities position it to meet evolving client needs. “Real Chemistry was built to solve the unique challenges of healthcare, and that focus has become even more critical as our clients operate across increasingly nuanced and interconnected global marketplaces,” he said. Since 2023, Real Chemistry’s international team (outside the US) has grown by 25%, with over 300 employees now working in key markets worldwide. This expansion follows the launch of RC Resolve, the company’s new healthcare advisory practice, which brings together top industry leaders to address complex business, regulatory, and value challenges at the intersection of science, policy, and economics.
