Nvidia RTX Spark Laptops Launch, Focusing on Local AI and Creation
Nvidia announced on October 16 that RTX Spark laptops are now available, offered by Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. The devices feature chips combining Grace CPUs with Blackwell RTX graphics processors, with up to 128GB of unified memory. Nvidia claims they deliver up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI compute power, enabling users to run large models and personal agents locally on their devices. Nvidia positions these computers for content creation, software development, and gaming. Companion tools support local deployment of agents such as Hermes and OpenClaw; applicable configurations can also run the Nemotron 3.5 Bolt model. For developers, the devices support CUDA and Linux development environments on Windows. For creators, beta versions of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere offer native support. Nvidia states that the computers can also handle 8K video and large 3D scenes, and support games such as Cyberpunk 2077. Local execution can reduce reliance on cloud compute resources for certain tasks, but specific experiences depend on device configurations, software compatibility, and task scale. Pricing and available configurations also vary by region.
