BIWI, also known as Biwi Kinect Head Pose Database, is a dataset used to study head pose estimation. The dataset consists of 15,000 images. A total of 20 volunteers participated in the data collection, 6 of whom are female and 14 are male, and 4 of them were recorded twice. Each frame of the data has a depth image, a corresponding RGB image (all pixels are 640*480) and annotations. The head pose range includes +- 75° deflection and +- 60° pitch. The ground truth is provided in the form of 3D position and rotation of the head.
