SpaceX legt Verpflichtung zu GPU-Finanzierung in Höhe von rund 40 Milliarden US-Dollar offen

In a regulatory filing disclosed on Monday, SpaceX stated that it has secured financing commitments of approximately $40 billion for the procurement of AI chips and related data center equipment. According to the disclosed arrangement, entities managed by Apollo Global Management will purchase the equipment and lease it to SpaceX. The lease term for each batch of equipment begins upon delivery and lasts approximately five to five and a quarter years. The transaction is expected to close by the end of this year, subject to closing conditions; as the equipment arrives, leases are expected to commence gradually in the first half of 2027. Apollo stated in a release that the deal will support SpaceX's procurement of Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chips for ground-based computing infrastructure. SpaceX Chief Financial Officer Brett Johnson said the leasing arrangement broadens funding sources and supports the expansion of the Grok and cloud services businesses. The company's previously reported third-quarter results showed AI revenue of approximately $7.6 billion, with quarterly capital expenditures approaching $20 billion. Commenting on the financing news, Elon Musk predicted that emerging cloud service providers primarily relying on AI computing rentals would face industry consolidation; this remains his assessment and not an established outcome.
