Quality assessment research mainly relies on subjective experiments to provide calibration data and testing mechanisms. The goal of all quality assessment research is to make estimates that are consistent with the subjective opinions of human observers. LIVE1 stands for LIVE Public-Domain Subjective Image Quality Database, which is a public domain subjective image quality dataset. Quality assessment (QA) algorithms can be trained and tested on this dataset.
