Large Action Model (LAM) is an emerging technology in the field of artificial intelligence proposed by Microsoft and Peking University in 2024.Large Action Models: From Inception to Implementation", which aims to go beyond traditional large language models (LLMs) and advance AI towards general artificial intelligence (AGI) by generating and executing actual actions to complete real-world tasks.

It realizes the complete process from understanding to execution by integrating advanced algorithms, combining multimodal input processing, target reasoning, task decomposition and planning, decision-making and action execution. This capability marks a major progress in artificial intelligence from generating text responses to performing actual operations.
