ASIC: Application-specific Integrated Circuit

ASIC ASIC refers to an integrated circuit with special specifications customized according to the different needs of products. The opposite of it is an application-specific standard product integrated circuit.

Systems based on neural network models require a lot of floating-point computing power. ASIC chips have greater computing advantages than central processing units (CPUs) and display computing processors (GPUs) in specific tasks, which is usually manifested as better power consumption at the same computing power, or better performance at the same power consumption.
