Adaptive Bitrate Streaming

Bit rate adaptive algorithmIt is a video transmission technology that can automatically adjust the streaming media bit rate. The adjustment factors mainly include network conditions or client delay conditions.

There are two main types of ABR algorithms:

• Rate-based Algorithms: measure the network connection speed and change the video loading quality according to the speed;
• Buffer-based ABR Algorithms: Load the unplayed part of the video in advance.
