Cascade Raises $3.5M Seed Round For AI Construction Bidding Platform

Cascade has closed a 3.5 million dollar seed funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz Speedrun, with participation from Ada Ventures and Snowball VC. The startup, which launched in 2025, is developing an artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline project acquisition for architecture, engineering, and construction firms. Founded by Hannia Zia and Joana Ferreira, the company emerged from firsthand observations of the persistent fragmentation that hinders contractors from reliably securing work. Both founders noted that traditional project discovery requires navigating thousands of disjointed government and private portals across state, municipal, and federal jurisdictions, a process they describe as an inefficient constant search. To address this gap, Cascade aggregates real-time and upcoming construction opportunities from disparate sources, then applies predictive modeling to historical tender data. By analyzing which developers historically win specific grant programs or public contracts, the platform identifies high-probability opportunities and alerts clients to initiate outreach. The system operates as a continuous learning engine, refining its forecasting accuracy each time a customer successfully secures a bid. The funding announcement follows a successful demo period through a16z Speedrun, which provided both capital and industry visibility. According to the founders, the program accelerated commercial traction, enabling Cascade to secure contracts with major developers behind infrastructure projects at JFK and LaGuardia airports, Four Seasons hospitality properties, and several data center facilities. Zia noted that the accelerator’s network and validation proved instrumental in closing enterprise deals. The newly raised capital will fund go-to-market expansion, industry event participation, and targeted engineering hires. While legacy bid-tracking services like GovWin IQ and ConstructConnect dominate the market, Cascade positions itself as a fundamentally more adaptive solution. Its AI-native architecture eliminates manual data entry and leverages closed-loop feedback to build a comprehensive industry mapping layer. As the platform scales, the company aims to standardize project discovery across the fragmented U.S. construction sector, reducing administrative friction and increasing win rates for contractors.
