Anthropic Amended S-1 Reports $17B Q3 Revenue, $895.4B Purchase Commitments
Anthropic disclosed updated financial results in an amended Form S-1 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, giving investors a broader view of the artificial intelligence developer as it moves closer to a potential initial public offering. The five-year-old company, known for its Claude family of AI models and primarily serving enterprise customers, reported $33.24 billion in revenue for the nine months ended Sept. 30, up about 1,200% from the comparable period last year. For the third quarter alone, Anthropic generated roughly $17 billion in revenue. The filing also showed a $104 billion net loss during the nine-month period. Anthropic said most of that loss stemmed from changes in the fair value of convertible notes and derivative liabilities. The company reported a $23.29 billion net loss in the third quarter and a $25.1 billion loss over the same stretch in 2025. Anthropic’s updated prospectus underscored the capital-intensive nature of its business. The company said it has entered into purchase commitments and lease agreements with an aggregate committed spend of about $895.4 billion, substantially all of which is related to compute and infrastructure. The revised filing supplements Anthropic’s original prospectus released last week, which included financial details only through the first half of the year.
