xAI Officially Rebrands to SpaceXAI Under SpaceX
xAI has officially been renamed SpaceXAI and simultaneously launched its new logo and official account on X. This brand transition marks that Elon Musk’s corporate consolidation efforts have entered a substantive phase. In February this year, SpaceX completed the full acquisition of xAI, bringing its core chatbot Grok and social platform X fully under its umbrella. Musk had previously confirmed that xAI would cease independent operations and all artificial intelligence products would be unified under the SpaceXAI brand system. With SpaceX completing in June what was then history's largest IPO at $1.77 trillion valuation and raising $75 billion in capital, the company’s strategic focus shifted significantly toward artificial intelligence. Internal disclosure data shows that the firm’s AI-related capital expenditures reached $12.7 billion in 2025, surpassing the combined total of its aerospace launch and Starlink businesses. Although the AI segment remains net loss-making, SpaceX management explicitly stated that the field holds the largest potential market size in human history. In terms of commercial implementation, SpaceXAI has secured multiple top-tier computing infrastructure orders. Anthropic and Google have separately signed agreements committing to pay monthly fees of $1.25 billion and $920 million respectively for Colossus data center computing power services. To break through terrestrial computing bottlenecks, SpaceX further plans to deploy space-based AI computation satellites by 2028, thereby constructing a next-generation integrated cloud-space artificial intelligence infrastructure network to continuously consolidate its first-mover advantage in the global computing race.
