Highlighted examples of outdated legislation flagged by the system include a twenty-five dollar fee for dog hunting permits and a historical requirement mandating work permits for pregnant individuals after midnight. This administrative deployment of AI contrasts with Hochul's recent legislative actions regarding the technology's physical infrastructure. Earlier this week, New York enacted a one-year moratorium on the construction of new hyperscale data centers, becoming the first state to implement such a pause. The temporary halt aims to allow lawmakers to develop comprehensive regulations addressing rising utility demands and environmental concerns associated with massive AI computing facilities. Despite the infrastructure restrictions, Hochul emphasized that her administration remains committed to integrating AI into public service.
