CyDeploy Uses AI to Create Digital Twins for Safer Software Updates, Headed to Disrupt 2025

For companies relying on software, balancing the urgency of applying security patches with the risk of breaking critical systems is a persistent challenge. That’s where CyDeploy comes in. The startup, founded by Tina Williams-Koroma, aims to solve this problem by creating a digital twin of a company’s core systems to test updates before they go live. CyDeploy uses machine learning to observe and record how users interact with key applications and infrastructure on a daily basis. It captures activity directly from computer screens and leverages AI to interpret and automatically label that data. To ensure accuracy and prevent hallucinations, the system includes a human-in-the-loop component: the company’s own system administrator, who validates the AI’s interpretations based on their expertise and expectations. Williams-Koroma explained that this approach allows teams to generate functional test scripts much faster than traditional methods. Once deployed in a secure digital twin environment, these scripts simulate real-world usage, enabling teams to identify potential issues before changes are pushed to production systems. The company is currently a Top 20 finalist in the Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, where it will showcase its technology. Customers have the flexibility to run CyDeploy’s large language model within their own environment, keeping sensitive data on-premises and ensuring compliance, or opt to use OpenAI’s model—though this would involve sending data outside the company’s systems. Williams-Koroma noted that CyDeploy is particularly valuable for critical infrastructure and Tier 1 applications—systems that require rapid updates due to security threats but must be changed carefully to avoid operational disruptions. These are often servers and backend systems where downtime or errors can have significant business impacts. For those interested in seeing CyDeploy in action, along with dozens of other innovative startups, keynote speakers, and panel discussions across four stages, the TechCrunch Disrupt conference will take place in San Francisco from October 27 to 29.
