NVIDIA appoints Suzanne Nora Johnson to board
NVIDIA announced the appointment of Suzanne Nora Johnson to its board of directors, effective July 13, 2026. Johnson, 68, brings extensive experience from her two-decade tenure at The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where she served as Vice Chairman. During her time at Goldman Sachs, she held several leadership positions, including Chair of the Global Markets Institute, Head of Global Research, and Head of Global Healthcare. She will immediately join the board's Audit Committee upon her appointment. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, praised Johnson as an extraordinary leader whose career spans finance, technology, healthcare, and public policy. Huang noted that her experience guiding global companies, combined with her leadership in education and philanthropy, will be an invaluable asset to the board as NVIDIA builds the future in the age of artificial intelligence. Johnson holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California. In addition to her upcoming role at NVIDIA, she currently serves on the board of Pfizer Inc., where she chairs the Audit Committee and participates in the Executive and Regulatory and Compliance Committees. She also recently stepped down as Board Chair of Intuit Inc., having served on Intuit's board since 2007. This appointment expands NVIDIA's board of directors to 11 members. The addition of a leader with such diverse high-level executive experience underscores NVIDIA's focus on governance and strategic oversight as it continues to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI. Johnson's background in global markets and regulatory compliance is expected to provide significant guidance to the tech giant as it manages complex international operations and future growth strategies.
