NVIDIA Releases FOX White Paper: AI Factory Management Agents Enable "Autonomous" Production Lines

At GTC Taipei, NVIDIA officially launched the Factory Operations Blueprint (FOX), a reference design aimed at building "autonomous factory management agents." FOX continuously monitors real-time factory data while concurrently scheduling specialized agents for quality inspection, material handling, and safety monitoring to enable rapid response to production line issues. Built upon NVIDIA NeMo-Crew, AI-Q Blueprint, and open-source Nemotron models, FOX supports integration of factory sensors, quality systems, and robot clusters. On the model training front, it leverages NVIDIA TAO to automatically identify accuracy gaps, generate synthetic data, perform fine-tuning, and redeploy models in an automated workflow. Real-time data visualization is achieved through operational digital twins constructed via NVIDIA Omniverse. Optimized specifically for the NVIDIA DGX Station—equipped with the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra desktop superchip delivering 20 petaflops of FP4 performance and 748GB of unified memory—FOX can run local AI models with up to trillions of parameters. Early deployments by Taiwanese manufacturers have yielded impressive results: Hon Hai utilized FOX to build the MoMClaw multi-agent system, projecting an 80% reduction in root cause analysis time, a 15% increase in labor efficiency, and a 10% decrease in failure rates. Wistron coordinated robot dispatching via FOX, estimating a 15% cut in asset redundancy costs. Advantech deployed its AI Factory Brain solution powered by FOX for autonomous energy consumption management, achieving a 10% reduction in power usage. Foxconn Integrated Systems combined Cosmos and Metropolis VSS to develop surface-mount detection agents. Meanwhile, Metropolis VSS 3 has been fully rolled out, supporting external agent integrations such as Claude Code, Codex, and Hermes, further expanding the video analytics AI agent ecosystem.
