Lovable Launches "Vibe-Coding" App on iOS and Android
Lovable has officially launched its no-code AI application builder on both iOS and Android platforms. This mobile app enables developers to start new projects anytime, anywhere via voice or text prompts. Users simply input their ideas, and an AI agent automatically executes coding generation and build tasks. Additionally, the app supports cross-device collaboration, allowing users to seamlessly switch project progress between computers and smartphones while receiving notifications upon completion of builds. The launch comes amid Apple's intensified regulatory scrutiny over so-called "vibe-coding" applications. Previously, Apple temporarily removed or blocked updates for several similar apps, including Replit and Vibecode, due to security risks. While not imposing a blanket ban on such tools, Apple strictly prohibits apps from downloading new code directly through stores or dynamically altering functionalities, as these practices could create security vulnerabilities and hinder review processes by App Store audit teams. To comply with regulations, many applications have shifted code generation and preview functions to web browsers—a strategy also adopted in Lovable's updated offering, which now focuses exclusively on building functional websites or web applications. Despite facing regulatory challenges, Lovable successfully secured listings in both major app stores, signaling recognition of its technical capabilities and compliance strategies. This move provides new tools for users seeking rapid idea validation on mobile devices while demonstrating how AI-assisted programming adapts to evolving platform policies. Analysts suggest that as development workflows become increasingly intelligent, such tools capable of bridging device boundaries and converting natural language into executable code may further lower barriers to entry for non-professional developers entering the field of software engineering.
