Meta Launches Muse for Small Business in Enterprise AI Push

Meta has officially expanded its artificial intelligence ambitions beyond consumer applications with the launch of Muse for Small Business, marking a decisive shift toward enterprise and commercial markets. Unveiled on Tuesday, the service connects Meta’s AI agent to widely adopted productivity and communication platforms, including Asana, Zoom, Intuit, Box, and Salesforce’s Slack. The agent also integrates directly with Meta’s advertising ecosystem and professional Instagram and Facebook profiles. While specific pricing was not disclosed, the service operates on Meta’s existing Muse framework, which provides a free tier with usage thresholds and offers paid subscriptions for expanded capabilities. The rollout reflects CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s broader strategy to diversify revenue beyond digital advertising by monetizing AI at scale. Following the acquisition of Scale AI founder Alexandr Wang, who now leads Meta’s artificial intelligence division, the company has aggressively advanced its generative AI capabilities. Wang’s team introduced the Muse Spark model family in April, and Zuckerberg recently positioned Muse as the cornerstone of the company’s long-term AI roadmap during last week’s Meta Connect event. By embedding automated workflows directly into tools that independent entrepreneurs already use, Meta aims to address the primary operational bottleneck facing small enterprises: limited bandwidth. The platform is designed to serve the 200 million small businesses currently active across Meta’s social commerce infrastructure. This consumer-facing expansion aligns with parallel enterprise initiatives. Earlier this week, Meta announced a dedicated corporate AI platform that will house Muse alongside specialized business agents and developer coding utilities. To direct the initiative, the company appointed MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to oversee its enterprise strategy. The aggressive commercial push positions Meta to directly challenge industry leaders such as OpenAI and Anthropic, particularly as competitors continue to expand their developer ecosystems. Market participants have responded favorably to Meta’s AI trajectory. The company’s stock surged 25 percent in September, buoyed by the September 8 consumer debut of Muse, which quickly captured the top spot on Apple’s App Store. Analysts project the platform could reach 100 million users within six to twelve months. With the introduction of Muse for Small Business, Meta is consolidating its position in the artificial intelligence sector, leveraging its extensive user base to drive commercial adoption while building the infrastructure required for larger corporate deployments.
