Station F Launches F/Ai Accelerator to Fast-Track European AI Startups
Station F, the Paris-based startup hub founded by Xavier Niel and directed by Roxanne Varza, is accelerating its focus on European artificial intelligence with the launch of its second F/ai accelerator cohort in September 2025. Building on a January debut, the program is designed to rapidly transition high-potential AI ventures from prototype development to commercial revenue. The accelerator has secured backing from a formidable roster of technology leaders, including AMD, Anthropic, AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI, and OpenAI, with the new cohort adding industry players such as ElevenLabs, OpenRouter, GitHub, and HubSpot. F/ai's primary objective is to compress the typical European commercialization timeline, setting a benchmark of one million euros in revenue per cohort within six months. This target directly addresses longstanding investor concerns regarding the slower go-to-market pace of European startups compared to their American counterparts. The inaugural group already demonstrated the program's efficacy, collectively raising $34 million in pre-seed funding and securing victories in major international competitions, including the global finale of The Pitch and the OpenAI Codex Hackathon. To maintain high standards, Station F utilizes an invitation-only selection model, relying on referrals from founders, investors, and industry partners to identify predominantly repeat entrepreneurs and PhD-holding technical founders. By centralizing access to global tech executives and venture capitalists within its 538,000-square-foot Paris campus, Station F is positioning itself as a critical alternative to Silicon Valley for European AI talent. Director Roxanne Varza emphasized that the initiative aims to demonstrate that world-class mentorship, funding access, and strategic partnerships can be accessed locally without relocating to the United States. As la French Tech continues to consolidate its status as a premier global innovation hub, Station F's F/ai program is establishing a repeatable framework for scaling AI ventures, with the second cohort expected to further strengthen Paris's foothold in the rapidly expanding European artificial intelligence landscape.
