Physicl Raises $10M for Robot-Ready Digital Worlds
Physicl, a new venture founded by former nfinite CEO Alex de Vigan, has raised $10 million in seed funding from Inovia Capital to develop high-fidelity simulation tooling for robots and world model developers. De Vigan plans to re-purpose the 3D rendering technology he built at nfinite to transform incomplete real-world information into physically accurate digital environments with correct geometry, materials and physics. The goal is to help train robotic systems on realistic synthetic data, especially edge cases, reducing reliance on expensive remote-operation datasets. Physicl’s product, Studio, includes 10,000 3D environments and 100,000 assets and allows users to generate scenes for training robot models. Spatial, an early customer, collaborated with Physicl to improve fidelity in its latest world model, Echo-3, which was released last week. Spatial CEO Matthias Niessner said Physicl’s on-demand, high-fidelity synthetic data generation could let AI systems request and create training data dynamically, accelerating robot development. The funding positions Physicl in the competitive AI tooling market for physical AI and foundation-model training.
