Google Ads Advisor introduces 3 ways to boost safety and speed
Google announced three new agentic safety features for Google Ads Advisor on April 21, 2026. These updates leverage advanced artificial intelligence to make advertising campaigns safer and more efficient. The enhancements, detailed by Priya Baliga, Senior Engineering Director for Ad Platforms, focus on proactive policy management, continuous security monitoring, and automated certification. First, Ads Advisor now offers proactive troubleshooting for complex policy violations. Previously, marketers often had to wait for issues to halt their campaigns before receiving guidance. The new system continuously scans accounts and associated websites to identify violations without prompting. Once a problem is detected, the AI provides a clear path to resolution and confirms the fix before the user submits an appeal. This capability is complemented by real-time policy reviews that offer instant guidance during the creation and editing of campaigns. Second, the platform introduces 24/7 security monitoring to protect user accounts. Maintaining account security typically involves manually auditing users and domains, a process that can be time-consuming for large teams. Ads Advisor now monitors activity around the clock and delivers personalized recommendations, such as reviewing flagged domains or identifying dormant user accounts. Users can access a new security insights dashboard to track their protection status. Additionally, by prompting Ads Advisor, advertisers can instantly check their security level. To further enhance security, Google is introducing passkeys for Google Ads, eliminating the need for traditional passwords and verification codes. Third, the update aims to eliminate weeks of manual paperwork through instant certifications. Historically, obtaining necessary industry certifications has been a slow, administrative burden. Using Gemini capabilities, Ads Advisor can now determine if a business requires a specific certificate based on its industry and location. The system will automatically grant approvals where possible or help users submit applications with a single click. For any action that modifies the account, the AI will request explicit user approval, ensuring control remains with the advertiser. These features are designed to reduce the administrative time spent on managing campaigns, allowing marketers to focus on growth and innovation. While these tools are initially available to English accounts globally, support for additional languages is rolling out soon. The capabilities are scheduled to launch in the coming months. Google emphasizes that these updates represent the foundation for a more secure and efficient advertising environment, marking just the beginning of integrating agentic AI into marketing workflows. This announcement was made ahead of Google Marketing Live, underscoring the company's continued investment in securing and optimizing its advertising ecosystem.
