Remotion has gained agentic capabilities through integration with Anthropic’s Claude Code, enabling users to create promotional videos for apps or websites using simple text descriptions. This marks a significant step forward in agentic video editing, where AI autonomously generates content based on natural language prompts. To get started, you first need to install Claude Code on your machine. You can do this either through the terminal (CLI) or within your preferred code editor. For ease of demonstration, we’ll use the terminal. If you're on a Mac, open the terminal and run the following command: curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash This script will download and set up Claude Code on your system. Once installed, you can begin using it to generate video content directly from your command line. With Claude Code integrated into Remotion, you can now describe the video you want—such as a dynamic promo for a mobile app, a product demo, or a website showcase—and the AI will automatically generate the full video script, design elements, animations, and transitions. You simply provide a clear, natural language description, and Claude Code handles the rest. For example, typing something like “Create a 60-second promotional video for a fitness app with upbeat music, animated characters working out, app interface highlights, and a call-to-action at the end” will trigger the AI to build a complete video project in seconds. This integration dramatically reduces the time and technical expertise needed to produce professional-grade promotional videos. Designers and developers can now focus on strategy and messaging, while the AI takes care of execution. Remotion’s agentic features are built on top of its powerful video rendering engine, allowing for precise control over visual elements, timing, and branding.
