Valor, Point72 Back General Intuition at $6B Valuation for Robotics

New York-based artificial intelligence startup General Intuition is advancing toward a $6 billion pre-money valuation as it secures fresh capital to accelerate its development of physical AI and robotic embodiments. The funding round attracts new backing from Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six, with existing investors Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst also participating. The latest valuation follows a $320 million raise at a $2.3 billion assessment just weeks prior, underscoring rapid institutional confidence in the company trajectory. Founded by Pim de Witte and spun out from his previous video game clip-sharing platform, Medal, General Intuition is developing a foundation model designed to train generalized AI agents capable of navigating complex spatial and temporal environments. Rather than relying solely on conventional vision-language training, the company leverages hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay footage paired with granular action labels, which map precise inputs to specific outcomes. According to existing backer Vinod Khosla, this unique dataset is engineered to cultivate model intuition, enabling systems to generalize across unfamiliar tasks without explicit retraining. The financing round remains oversubscribed and is currently in its final stages. Proceeds will be directed toward scaling compute infrastructure, bolstered by a strategic partnership with CoreWeave, and expanding the engineering and research talent pool. General Intuition strategic pivot emphasizes the application of its generalized models to physical AI, aiming to bridge the gap between digital simulation and real-world robotic control. Valor Equity Partners, recognized for its prior investments in aerospace and defense, is marking its first allocation into an AI laboratory since its stake in SpaceX, highlighting a broader institutional shift toward hardware-integrated artificial intelligence. As the company consolidates its latest capital, market attention remains focused on its capacity to deliver scalable robotic intelligence derived from its proprietary simulation-derived datasets.
