Word Sense Induction
Word Sense Induction (WSI) is an unsupervised version of Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD), aiming to automatically cluster different meanings of a target word based on its usage in various sentences. Although it does not require explicitly labeling the specific meaning of each cluster, sentences within the same cluster should share the same meaning. WSI can effectively improve the performance of natural language processing systems, enhancing the understanding and application of polysemous words, and is of great importance for tasks such as semantic analysis and machine translation.
