Lexical Normalization

Lexical Normalization is a subtask in natural language processing aimed at converting non-standard text into standard language. This task focuses on lexical-level substitutions and does not involve adjustments to word order or additions/deletions. By addressing non-standard linguistic phenomena on social media platforms and others, Lexical Normalization can improve the quality of text data, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of subsequent NLP tasks.
