Let’s Learn About This Donor, “AI Religion”

By Super Neuro
AI Dafa is good, joining the religion will ensure safety. Why not learn more about our AI religion, benefactor?
A scientific religion that believes in AI is about to emerge:
The Way of the Future was initiated by an American engineer at the beginning of this year. This religion believes in AI and advocates the supremacy of technology.
the Way of the Future: We are different
Compared with universal religions such as Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, "the Way of the Future" is really different.
Instead of choosing legendary figures or gods who can control the wind and rain as their faith, they very pragmatically chose AI as their Jesus, believing that AI will dominate the world.
This AI church is led by Silicon Valley engineers and self-driving car technology experts Anthony Levandowski(Anthony Lewandowski) was founded in January this year.

This is the middle school boy.
Anthony said in the business registration information (the church registration information submitted to the IRS) that our goal is to allow people to worship AI as a god.
Anthony said: "AI is different from the gods in legends. It is billions of times smarter than humans, visible and tangible, and a god that can withstand scrutiny and verification." It may be an exaggeration to regard AI as a god, but it reflects the profound impact that current computer science, especially AI, has brought to people.
For example, speech recognition and face recognition based on AI algorithms have been applied to all aspects of life, and neural networks perform much better than humans in various fields (from security to finance).
In March 2016, AlphaGo defeated the world champion and professional 9th-dan Go player Lee Sedol 4:1; in May 2017, at the Go Summit in Wuzhen, China, it defeated the then world number one Go champion Ke Jie 3:0, completely refreshing people's understanding of AI.

However, Luciano Floridi, director of the Digital Ethics Laboratory at the University of Oxford and professor of information philosophy and ethics, pointed out that it is meaningless to regard AI as a god. Just because AI is more powerful than humans, it cannot be regarded as a belief. The sun is also more powerful than humans, but there is no "sun cult" that believes in the sun.
AI Religion: A Quasi-Religion of Techno-Utopianism
Religion originates from people's awe and worship of the unknown. It is not only a cultural phenomenon, but also a special social ideology and spiritual sustenance. However, "the Way of the Future" is more like a technological utopian quasi-religion.
This quasi-religion worships science and technology, believes that AI will play the role of God, and that the form of life under super AI will be beyond our imagination.
One of the proponents of the quasi-religion is futurist Raymond Kurzweil, who has proposed breaking the laws of human genetics and using AI to bring his father back to life.

FuturistRaymond Kurzweil has been pursuing the power of immortality
AI allows people to have a richer imagination of the future. While encouraging technological progress, it can also be used to capture believers. Moreover, with the help of the native religious culture of the United States, this quasi-religious thought is easy to spread and be accepted by the public, but it will also lead to some potential social problems.
Professor Floridi once warned that technological recognition is easier to gain the trust of the public than supernatural phenomena. AI promises people a future through technology, which is very attractive, but this attraction can easily lead to superstition and breed scams.
However, even if technology can easily gain people's trust, it is still hard to say whether it can capture people's thoughts. If you can't control people's thoughts, it will be difficult to be worshipped by thousands of people.
Can AI become a god?
From the perspective of human civilization, worshiping man-made objects is not a new thing. It’s just that compared with the “golden calf” (the idol worshipped by the Israelites in the Bible), AI appears to be more novel and advanced, and it can be seen and touched.
But this does not mean that AI can become a god that controls people's minds.

A big part of the reason why God is accepted by people is that people have an emotional and psychological identification with God and are able to accept God intellectually.
It is difficult for AI to do this, and the future super AI is still in the conceptual stage. Current AI is not that powerful.
Today’s AI can learn board games and advance scientific research, but it has trouble performing tasks that cannot be simulated on a computer. Games like StarCraft are beyond the grasp of current AI, not to mention making decisions about the future direction of humanity.
Furthermore, the neural networks that underpin the core of AI are just a bunch of matrix operations; they can be tools, but they are not gods worthy of worship.
However, there is even an organization like the "Flying Spaghetti God Cult", and the AI Cult is quite serious. Why not just leave it for the middle school students to think about.
Beyond the syllabus: There is more than one strange religion

Pastafarianism or Flying Spaghetti Monsterism (FSM) originated in the United States and was founded in June 2005 by Bobby Henderson, a bachelor's degree in physics from Oregon State University.
These people believe that the universe was created by a flying spaghetti monster "after a severe alcohol binge", and that this spaghetti monster is the only true God, so he is also called the "Flying Spaghetti God".
This is a satirical fictional religion that targets the intelligent design theory (the idea that organisms are not the product of evolution but are designed by some kind of supernatural intelligence) claimed by some religious sects, and they partially accept the theory of evolution.
As of February 2016, the Flying Spaghetti Church has been licensed in Denmark and New Zealand, and the Dutch government has recognized the Flying Spaghetti Church as a legal religion.
Um... From this point of view, AI teaching is really serious
