MPII Human Shape is a human body model dataset, including a series of 3D models and tools of human body contours and shapes, where the training model is learned from the plane scanning database CAESAR.
MPII Human Shape is a set of 3D human shape models and tools for the construction, manipulation and evaluation of human shape space, which is based on statistical body representation learning from the Kaiser dataset, the largest commercially available scan database to date.
This dataset was released by the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in 2017. The main publishers are Leonid Pishchulin, Stefanie Wuhrer, Thomas Helten, Christian Theobalt and Bernt Schiele. The related paper is "Building Statistical Shape Spaces for 3D Human Modeling".
