MVSEC stands for Multi Vehicle Stereo Event Camera, and is a dataset for developing new 3D perception algorithms based on event cameras (event cameras have a new asynchronous sensing method that can be used to measure changes in image intensity). Data comes from cars, motorcycles, six-axis aircraft, and handheld data, and is fused with lidar, IMU, motion capture, and GPS to provide ground truth pose and depth images. The dataset also provides images taken with a standard stereo frame camera for comparison with traditional techniques.
