2021 Hotel-ID is a dataset for hotel identification. This dataset is designed to help fight human trafficking. The dataset helps track current and future victims who are taken to the same hotel. Hotel identification is a challenging fine-grained visual classification task. The dataset consists of hotel room images uploaded via the TraffickCam mobile application package. These images are of similar quality to survey images, which tend to be low quality, from unusual camera angles, and highly occluded, so a model trained on these images has a good chance of accurately narrowing down the hotel and finding the correct identical hotel.
