Google Expands Veo 3 Access to 73 Countries and Introduces Visible Watermarks for AI-Generated Videos

Google is expanding the reach of Veo 3, its advanced AI content generation model, making it more accessible to users across the globe through the Gemini mobile app. Today marks an exciting milestone as we introduce the Google AI Ultra plan to the UK, bringing the total number of countries where the Ultra plan is available to 73. We remain committed to further enlarging this list. The Ultra plan offers the highest level of access to Veo 3 and other premium features. Meanwhile, Google AI Pro subscribers in these 73 countries can enjoy limited access to Veo 3 within Flow, a powerful tool designed for AI filmmakers. Pro subscribers will also receive a 10-pack of trial video generations to explore the capabilities of Veo 3 through the Gemini app. Starting today, Pro subscribers can leverage Veo 3 directly in the Gemini mobile app, opening up new possibilities for creative content creation. Recognizing the importance of transparency in AI-generated content, Google has implemented several measures to ensure that users can identify synthetic media. All content produced by Google’s generative AI models includes a SynthID watermark, which helps track and verify the origin of the material. Last week, we released the SynthID Detector to a select group of early testers, and we are planning to expand its availability soon. This tool is crucial for maintaining trust and authenticity in digital environments. In addition to the SynthID watermark, we are introducing a visible watermark to all videos generated by Veo 3, with one exception: videos created by Ultra members using Flow will not be visibly watermarked. This approach balances the need for transparency with the creative demands of our most dedicated and high-level users. These enhancements and expansions highlight Google’s dedication to bringing cutting-edge AI technology to a broader audience while ensuring ethical and responsible use of such innovations.
