Roborock Unveils the Saros Z70: World's First AI-Powered Robotic Vacuum with Foldable Arm for Smart Home Cleaning

13日前

Roborock has achieved a significant breakthrough in home cleaning technology with the launch of the Saros Z70, the world's first mass-produced robotic vacuum featuring a foldable mechanical arm. This innovative device, showcased at CES 2025 in January, combines advanced AI and robotics to intelligently identify, interact with, and remove obstacles, marking a significant leap forward in the capabilities of household robots. The Roborock Saros Z70 is equipped with an OmniGrip foldable robotic arm, precision sensors, dual cameras, and an LED light. These components work together to feed data into the device's AI processor, enabling it to perceive its environment and act accordingly. For instance, the device can distinguish between a light object like a sock and a heavier item, deciding whether to move the former and leave the latter alone. It can then place the sock near a closet or toss a crumpled piece of paper into the trash. The Z70 can also remember up to 108 household items, 50 of which can be customized via the Roborock app. This level of recognition and interaction is unprecedented, making the Z70 not only a cleaner but also a helpful assistant in daily household tasks. Beyond its revolutionary robotic arm, the Z70 excels as a traditional robotic vacuum and mop. Standing at just 3 inches tall, it can navigate tight spaces where other models typically struggle. The device boasts advanced anti-tangle features for hair and a powerful 22,000Pa suction, effectively cleaning both hard floors and carpets. The FlexiArm Riser Side Brush extends to reach corners and baseboards, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Additionally, the Z70 can lift its mop pads to avoid carpets or remove them entirely for vacuum-only tasks, then reinstall them as needed for mopping. The Z70's docking station is also highly advanced. It can recharge the device in just 2.5 hours, heat and refill the mop water, air-dry the mop pads, dispense detergent, and even detect if a second cleaning pass is necessary. The AI-driven system learns user preferences over time, allowing the Z70 to tailor its cleaning routines to individual households. Through the Roborock app, users can program and manage all settings, ensuring the Z70 operates seamlessly without human intervention. The introduction of the Saros Z70 represents a pivotal moment in the development of smart home appliances. Unlike previous models, which relied primarily on basic navigation and suction, the Z70's AI and robotic arm integration offer a level of autonomy and functionality previously seen only in research labs. This combination of technologies not only enhances cleaning efficiency but also adds practical utility by assisting with minor organizational tasks. Industry insiders see the Z70 as a game changer that could redefine the market for home cleaning robots. The device's advanced capabilities, particularly its ability to interact with and organize its environment, set a new standard for automation in the home. Roborock, known for its innovative and high-quality products, continues to lead the pack with this groundbreaking release. The Saros Z70's success at the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 further underscores its significance and the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of home automation technology.
