LatticeFlow AI Acquires AI Sonar to Launch End-to-End, Secure AI Governance Platform
LatticeFlow AI, a Swiss deep-tech company specializing in evidence-based AI governance, has announced the acquisition of AI Sonar Ltd, a Dublin-based leader in AI discovery platforms, during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The acquisition positions LatticeFlow AI as the first company to offer an end-to-end, secure AI governance solution that seamlessly connects on-premises AI discovery and evaluation with centralized SaaS-based governance operations. AI Sonar’s platform enables enterprises and independent software vendors to detect shadow AI—unauthorized or hidden AI systems deployed across organizations. Under the terms of the deal, AI Sonar will continue to operate under its existing brand name, with its technology fully integrated into LatticeFlow AI’s product roadmap. The acquisition includes full ownership of AI Sonar’s platform, intellectual property, and engineering team, with the Dublin office becoming LatticeFlow AI’s third R&D hub, joining existing centers in Zurich, Switzerland, and Sofia, Bulgaria. Paul Mansfield, former CTO of CloudSphere Ltd, the parent company of AI Sonar, will join LatticeFlow AI to lead the combined engineering group. Dr. Petar Tsankov, CEO and Co-Founder of LatticeFlow AI, emphasized the importance of visibility in AI governance. “AI governance cannot work without visibility,” he said. “This acquisition reinforces our leadership in evidence-based AI governance by ensuring we can scan both on-prem and cloud environments to discover AI systems and govern them end-to-end, securely, privately, and at scale.” The integration of AI Sonar’s discovery capabilities with LatticeFlow AI’s technical evaluation tools creates a powerful, continuous monitoring system. It automatically identifies AI assets across diverse environments, maintains a real-time enterprise AI inventory, and links each system to evidence generated through rigorous technical assessments. This foundation allows organizations to enforce consistent controls, ensure compliance, and manage risk proactively throughout the AI lifecycle. As AI adoption accelerates across industries, many organizations now operate with thousands of AI systems—often without full awareness of their presence or behavior. This lack of visibility leads to significant risks related to data privacy, regulatory compliance, security, and accountability. AI discovery addresses this gap by providing a continuously updated, accurate view of the entire AI estate. With this acquisition, LatticeFlow AI expands its governance stack to cover the full AI lifecycle—from discovery and cataloging to risk assessment, evidence generation, and ongoing monitoring. The solution supports GenAI, agentic systems, and traditional AI models, enabling fully private, secure governance that connects on-prem systems with centralized cloud operations. Looking ahead, LatticeFlow AI will continue to strengthen its platform in alignment with enterprise security standards and evolving regulations, including the EU AI Act. The company, known for developing COMPL-AI—the world’s first EU AI Act framework for Generative AI in collaboration with ETH Zurich and INSAIT—remains committed to advancing AI governance through scientific rigor and technological innovation.
