Google’s Veo 3 Now 50% Cheaper with 1080p HD, Vertical Video Support, and Audio Integration

Google has announced significant upgrades to its AI video generation model, Veo 3, making it more accessible and versatile than ever. The most notable change is a 50% reduction in pricing, making the model more affordable for developers and creators. Alongside the cost cut, Veo 3 now supports 1080p HD video output and introduces native support for vertical videos—ideal for mobile consumption. Both the standard Veo 3 and the faster Veo 3 Fast models are now generally available through the Gemini API, expanding access to a broader range of users and developers. This marks a major step forward in integrating high-quality AI video generation into real-world applications. Veo 3 has quickly become one of the top-performing AI video models on the market, praised for its high-fidelity outputs, precise adherence to user prompts, and the ability to generate videos with synchronized audio. This includes sound effects, background music, dialogue, and voice-overs—all created natively within the model, eliminating the need for post-production editing. The updates were first revealed by Logan Kilpatrick, Google’s lead product manager for Google DeepMind, Gemini, and AI products, in a post on X. The improvements underscore Google’s commitment to advancing AI video capabilities and making them more practical for everyday use across platforms, especially mobile. With enhanced resolution, better formatting options, and lower costs, Veo 3 is poised to play a key role in the next wave of AI-driven content creation.
