The announcement was made from Tampa, Florida. “Jay is a transformational technology leader who understands the operational realities of transportation and the art of what’s possible with AI,” said Renee Krug, Chief Executive Officer of Transflo. “His experience modernizing mission-critical systems at scale, combined with a builder’s mindset, will accelerate how we deliver value to carriers, brokers, factors, and drivers across the Transflo network.” Tomasello brings over 25 years of experience in technology leadership within logistics, transportation, and digital transformation. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Forward Air, where he led the modernization of core platforms, launched AI-powered solutions, and deployed innovative mobile tools across more than 3,500 drivers and 100+ operational sites. Prior to that, he spent over nine years at FedEx, rising to the role of CIO and Vice President of IT at FedEx Supply Chain.
