**Abstract:** On December 15, 2014, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) held its annual member day and award ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. During the event, the Sixth National Outstanding Science and Technology Workers Award was presented to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of science and technology in China. The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and CAST Chairman Han Qide, CPPCC Education, Science, Culture, Health, and Sports Committee Deputy Director Deng Nan, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Pan Lijiang, and Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Li Jinghai.
