Stratasys and Automation Intelligence Launch North American Tooling Center to Accelerate Additive Manufacturing Adoption
Stratasys Launches North American Tooling Center of Excellence with Automation Intelligence, LLC to Deliver Real-World Additive Manufacturing Value Stratasys Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS) has announced the establishment of the North American Stratasys Tooling Center (NASTC), a new collaboration with Automation Intelligence, LLC (AI). Located at AI’s manufacturing site in Flint, Michigan, this center is designed to help manufacturers validate and scale the practical applications of additive manufacturing in their production processes. The NASTC operates both the Stratasys F3300® and F900® 3D printers, offering hands-on access to engineering resources. It focuses on developing critical tooling solutions like jigs, fixtures, end-of-arm tooling, and North American Automotive Metric Standards (NAAMS) blocks. Automotive and industrial customers can now explore how additive manufacturing can streamline operations, cut costs, and provide faster responses to manufacturing challenges. "This Center of Excellence will significantly impact manufacturers by demonstrating how additive manufacturing can integrate seamlessly into their production environments," stated Fadi Abro, Director of Global Automotive & Mobility at Stratasys. "The NASTC serves as an incubator for advanced manufacturing, enabling teams to rapidly iterate, validate, and scale tooling applications. This initiative addresses real-world challenges and sets the stage for meeting the growing demand for localized, on-demand production solutions globally." Tooling is a critical factor in determining the speed and cost-effectiveness of bringing products to market. The NASTC aims to provide manufacturers with proven evidence that additive polymer tooling is not only feasible but also an excellent choice for production. By combining additive manufacturing technologies with traditional methods, the center delivers speed, flexibility, and confidence to manufacturers and suppliers under constant pressure to enhance efficiency. "Tooling is the backbone of manufacturing," said Jeff McGarry, Managing Partner at Automation Intelligence. "The NASTC offers a tangible environment where manufacturers can witness firsthand how additive tools can tackle today’s challenges with faster turnaround times, digital flexibility, and lower costs. We are confident that this partnership will showcase the positive impact additive manufacturing can have across the production spectrum." Automation Intelligence assists manufacturers in accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies. Working with several major manufacturers, AI focuses on practical implementation and production experience, guiding customers through digital transformation. The NASTC will also serve as a model for establishing similar tooling hubs worldwide.
