Vantage Data Centers and Liberty Energy Partner to Deliver 1GW of High-Efficiency Power for AI-Driven Data Centers

Vantage Data Centers and Liberty Energy Inc. have announced a strategic partnership to develop and operate up to one gigawatt of high-efficiency, utility-scale power solutions for Vantage’s hyperscale data center campuses across North America. Under the agreement, Liberty Power Innovations (LPI), a subsidiary of Liberty Energy, will own and operate the power infrastructure, providing long-term energy services to support cloud and AI infrastructure for major technology companies. The collaboration includes a commitment to deliver up to 1GW of power over the next five years, with a reserved 400 megawatts of generation capacity scheduled for 2027, plus potential for future expansion beyond 1GW. The power solutions will be especially critical in markets where grid capacity is limited, enabling Vantage to accelerate data center development and meet growing demand for digital infrastructure. The partnership is designed to address the surging power needs driven by the AI revolution and continued cloud growth. LPI’s integrated power platform, featuring Forte℠ power generation and Tempo℠ intelligent load management, will provide reliable, scalable, and efficient energy. Co-located generation will be connected via a dedicated distribution network, supporting high-density, AI-optimized operations and offering the flexibility to integrate with the broader grid in the future. Dana Adams, President of North America at Vantage Data Centers, highlighted the importance of secure, scalable power in enabling hyperscale growth. He noted that partnering with LPI strengthens Vantage’s ability to deliver capacity quickly and responsibly, especially in power-constrained regions, while maintaining cost control and operational excellence. Ron Gusek, CEO of Liberty Energy, emphasized the strategic significance of the alliance. He stated that LPI’s decade-long expertise in distributed power systems, combined with real-time digital operations, positions the company to meet the complex energy demands of next-generation data centers. The partnership, he said, sets a new benchmark for scale, reliability, and innovation in energy and digital infrastructure. The collaboration also supports broader energy resilience and community benefits by reducing strain on local power grids and helping to stabilize energy supply. LPI’s solutions are designed to operate autonomously or in coordination with the grid, optimizing efficiency and reliability. Vantage Data Centers is a global leader in digital infrastructure, serving top AI and cloud providers across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Liberty Energy, headquartered in Denver, is a major provider of energy services and technologies, with a growing focus on advanced power solutions for data centers, energy, mining, and industrial sectors. Through Liberty Power Innovations, the company is expanding into areas such as advanced nuclear, enhanced geothermal, and battery energy storage. The partnership reflects a growing trend of energy and technology companies joining forces to meet the escalating demands of AI and digital transformation. While the statements in this release include forward-looking information subject to risks and uncertainties, the companies believe the collaboration will play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable, high-performance data infrastructure.
