Soluna Completes Project Dorothy 2, Boosting Sustainable Compute Capacity to 123 MW with 95% Uptime and 73% Growth Since April 2025

Soluna Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLNH), a developer of green data centers for intensive computing, has completed Project Dorothy 2, the 48 MW second phase of its flagship Project Dorothy in West Texas. With this milestone, the 100 MW Project Dorothy campus is now fully operational, delivering 123 MW of energized data center capacity and over 3.9 exahashes per second (EH/s) of sustainable compute. The project achieved 95% uptime and set a new benchmark for efficiency, marking a 64% increase in operational capacity and a 73.3% rise in compute output since April 2025. The completion of Project Dorothy 2 was delivered on time and on budget, underscoring Soluna’s ability to execute large-scale renewable computing projects with precision. The site, built behind the meter at a 150 MW wind farm, converts curtailed renewable energy into productive computing power for Bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence applications. Its modular design allows for rapid scaling while maintaining high efficiency and operational flexibility. Powered by Soluna’s proprietary MaestroOS™ platform, the facility leverages intelligent monitoring, real-time data analytics, and full-stack automation to optimize performance, ensure high uptime, and enable seamless integration with the electrical grid. The transition to full operations has created 18 full-time local jobs and generated additional indirect employment in maintenance, logistics, and regional services. Project Dorothy is named after Dorothy Vaughan, a pioneering African American mathematician and computer scientist who played a vital role at NASA during the early space race. Soluna continues its tradition of honoring trailblazing women in science and technology through its project naming convention. With Project Dorothy 2 now live, Soluna is advancing its broader vision of deploying over 1 gigawatt of Renewable Computing capacity. The company is currently constructing Project Kati, a 166 MW project, and has several other initiatives in development. Each site is designed to repurpose underutilized renewable energy into scalable, sustainable infrastructure for high-demand digital workloads. Soluna remains committed to driving a greener, more efficient energy future by using computing as a catalyst to unlock the full potential of renewable power. The company’s mission is to transform surplus clean energy into global computing resources, delivering both environmental and economic value.
