Suki Named Preferred Solution Partner by athenahealth, Boosting Ambient AI Access for 170,000 Providers

Suki, a leader in artificial intelligence for healthcare, has been named a Preferred Solution Partner by athenahealth, a major provider of network-enabled software and services for healthcare practices across the U.S. This designation highlights athenahealth’s official endorsement of Suki as a trusted and validated solution in the ambient intelligence category. The partnership grants Suki fast-tracked access to new integrations within athenaOne, athenahealth’s comprehensive platform used by over 170,000 providers. Suki’s technology is now available to athenaOne customers through two primary channels: Suki for Clinicians, accessible directly via the athenahealth Marketplace, and athenahealth’s Ambient Notes offering, which integrates Suki’s ambient clinical intelligence (ACI) technology. Since the beginning of the year, adoption has surged, with more than 450 practices and over 3,400 monthly active users across both platforms—marking a 50% increase in just six months. On average, Suki generates around 500,000 clinical notes per month for athenaOne users. Suki for Clinicians maintains the highest adoption rate in the industry, exceeding 82%. The platform is designed to work seamlessly within clinicians’ existing workflows, reducing documentation burden and helping combat burnout. Its deep integration with athenaOne allows AI to operate at the point of care, enabling real-time clinical documentation, improved revenue cycle management, and enhanced decision support. Punit Soni, CEO and Founder of Suki, emphasized the importance of embedding AI directly into clinical workflows. “Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform clinical practice, but it needs to be deeply embedded, easy to use, and designed for scale,” he said. “This partnership not only accelerates innovation but removes workflow friction and ensures that ambient intelligence can reach every corner of the athenahealth network—fulfilling a shared commitment to rethinking what is possible for clinicians.” Michael Palantoni, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at athenahealth, highlighted the strategic value of the partnership. “We’re committed to bringing our customers solutions that improve efficiency, reduce burnout, and enhance patient care,” he said. “By adding Suki to our Preferred Solution Partner Program, we’re able to offer industry-leading ambient clinical intelligence experiences that seamlessly interface with athenaOne workflows. Suki is a trusted partner, and its proven technology aligns strongly with the future of our network’s AI infrastructure.” Suki’s ACI layer is built to operate natively within clinical environments, unlike add-on tools, enabling real-time documentation, clinical reasoning, and revenue cycle support. The company also offers Suki for Partners, a developer toolkit with SDKs and APIs that allows healthtech companies to embed ambient intelligence into their own products, accelerating innovation and interoperability. Suki’s technology has demonstrated measurable impact, driving an average 81% increase in practice satisfaction and generating $1,688 in incremental monthly revenue per user. Backed by leading investors including Venrock, First Round, Flare Capital Partners, March Capital, and Hedosophia, Suki continues to expand its role in shaping the future of AI-powered healthcare.
