Hammerspace Unveils GPU Storage Breakthrough at Oracle AI World 2025

At Oracle AI World 2025 in Las Vegas, Hammerspace unveiled its Tier 0 architecture, a breakthrough in AI infrastructure that transforms Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Bare Metal NVMe storage into the fastest, most efficient storage tier for AI workloads. The innovation enables OCI Supercluster— a bare metal GPU server cluster—to operate with ultra-high-performance shared storage, drastically reducing bottlenecks and minimizing GPU idle time. By converting local NVMe storage on OCI GPU shapes into a persistent, shared, and globally accessible tier, Hammerspace eliminates data silos and creates a unified, high-speed data backbone for AI training, checkpointing, inference, and agentic AI applications. Benchmark results confirm the architecture’s exceptional performance, delivering higher throughput, lower latency, and improved GPU utilization. The solution provides a single global namespace across multiple sites, enabling seamless data orchestration and assimilation across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Hammerspace’s Tier 0 is designed to scale efficiently, supporting both small-scale projects and massive AI deployments. Tony Asaro, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Hammerspace, emphasized that the integration with OCI—architected specifically for AI—delivers a complete, AI-ready solution that simplifies infrastructure complexity and accelerates the AI pipeline. Hammerspace will demonstrate Tier 0 at the NVIDIA Booth #1013 on October 14, with a session led by Cloud Field CTO Raj Sharma titled “Increase Performance and Reduce Idle Time of Your GPU Workloads in OCI.” The presentation will highlight how the architecture maximizes GPU efficiency and enables faster, more reliable AI training and inference. Separately, CLOUDVICE, an Oracle-certified partner based in Charlotte, North Carolina, will showcase its AI-powered tools at the event. The company is focused on accelerating cloud adoption and digital transformation in the public and enterprise sectors. Its GovCubes and Xylem tools are designed to streamline Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations. Xylem, an AI-driven data migration framework, automates the entire data migration lifecycle—extracting, validating, transforming, and reconciling data from diverse legacy systems. Using AI, Xylem identifies data patterns, validates types, flags inconsistencies, and recommends optimal field mappings, significantly improving data quality and reducing errors early in the process. CLOUDVICE also highlighted its success in supporting public sector clients, including Wayne County, where a strategic health check enabled a successful Oracle Fusion Applications implementation using a unified One Oracle approach. Additionally, the company is co-sourcing with Nashville Electric Service to implement HR, payroll, benefits, and talent management systems, enhancing employee support and operational efficiency. David Hicks, Group Vice President of ISV Ecosystem at Oracle North America, praised CLOUDVICE for delivering real-world AI innovation that drives measurable business outcomes. CLOUDVICE’s AI-first approach, combined with deep Oracle Cloud expertise and over 100 certifications, enables faster adoption, smarter decision-making, and stronger compliance—particularly in regulated industries. Both Hammerspace and CLOUDVICE are demonstrating how AI and cloud technologies are converging to deliver scalable, intelligent infrastructure and services. Hammerspace’s Tier 0 redefines storage performance for AI, while CLOUDVICE’s tools empower organizations to migrate and manage data smarter. Together, they underscore a new era of AI readiness, where performance, scalability, and data integrity are no longer trade-offs but integrated outcomes. With Oracle’s support and a growing ecosystem of AI-driven partners, enterprises are better equipped than ever to harness the full potential of cloud and artificial intelligence.
