Logpresso Raises KRW 16 Billion in Series B to Advance AI-Powered Security Agents and Global Expansion
Logpresso, a leading cloud-native SIEM provider headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, has secured KRW 16 billion (approximately USD 12 million) in Series B funding to accelerate its transformation into an AI-driven security agent platform. The investment marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategic evolution as it shifts from traditional security operations to a next-generation, AI-centric model. At a press conference held at Conrad Seoul, Logpresso revealed its long-term vision, highlighting plans to consolidate its proven products into a unified XDR (Extended Detection and Response) platform redesigned around artificial intelligence. CEO Bongyeol Yang emphasized that the new platform will automate the full security lifecycle—from threat hunting to incident response—leveraging AI to significantly improve detection accuracy and operational efficiency. Founded in 2013, Logpresso has established itself as a key player in the cloud SIEM market, delivering Security Operations (SecOps) solutions across cybersecurity, IT operations, and fraud detection for clients in public, financial, and enterprise sectors. The company’s SaaS-based Logpresso Cloud, launched in 2023, has gained strong traction with both enterprise and startup customers, reinforcing its reputation for performance, scalability, and reliability. The Series B round was led by existing investor KB Investment, joined by new institutional backers, reflecting strong confidence in Logpresso’s technical innovation and global expansion potential. Junseok Lee, Director at KB Investment, praised the company’s leadership in the AI-driven security transformation, stating, “Logpresso stands out as one of the most advanced players in the shift toward AI-based security operations. Its platform is purpose-built for the cloud era, and we are confident this investment will fuel AI innovation and strengthen its global competitiveness.” The newly raised capital will be strategically allocated to accelerate AI integration across all layers of the platform, expand global market presence—starting with Japan—and pursue strategic mergers and acquisitions as well as technical collaborations. Japan’s SIEM market, valued at approximately KRW 350 billion and growing at a CAGR of 22%, presents a key opportunity. Dong-Eon Goo, Chief Business Officer of Logpresso, noted, “We are well-positioned to enter the Japanese market rapidly with a globally optimized SaaS product and are preparing accordingly.” With this latest funding, Logpresso has now raised a total of KRW 23 billion (around USD 17 million) across multiple rounds. As the company celebrates its 12th anniversary, it continues to solidify its position as a pioneer in cloud-native security operations, driven by a mission to extract actionable insights from vast machine data—fast, smart, and secure.
