Accenture Teams with U.S. DOE on Genesis Mission to Accelerate AI Innovation and National Science Leadership
Accenture Federal Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture (NYSE: ACN), has announced a strategic agreement to explore collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in support of the Genesis Mission—a transformative national initiative aimed at strengthening American leadership in artificial intelligence and modernizing the nation’s science and technology infrastructure. The Genesis Mission, led by the DOE, is designed to harness public-private partnerships to drive innovation in AI and data center technologies. A key component of the program is the creation of an enduring, integrated American Science and Security Platform. This platform will connect the country’s most powerful supercomputers, vast scientific datasets, and advanced AI tools to accelerate national security advancements, address critical energy challenges, and double U.S. research and development productivity within the next decade. At a White House event today marking the launch of the initiative, Ron Ash, Chair and CEO of Accenture Federal Services, joined other industry leaders in announcing commitments to support the mission. Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, emphasized the importance of the effort, stating, “The Genesis Mission is fundamentally reinventing the systems that power discovery, so researchers can move faster and deliver results at scale. Accenture is ready to help build this foundation that advances innovation and competitiveness, drawing on our deep AI expertise and strong technology ecosystem partnerships.” Accenture Federal Services will support the platform’s development by contributing expertise in strategy and design, enterprise architecture, operations, management, and the integration of AI models. Initial services will focus on accelerating the deployment of shared digital infrastructure that enables scientists and engineers to translate discoveries into real-world impact more rapidly. “Winning the AI race depends on how quickly we turn science into real-world impact,” said Ron Ash. “We are deploying our talent and capabilities to build the shared platforms needed to turn scientific discovery into action faster. We are honored to help create these platforms where insights can become breakthroughs at scale. We are proud to be part of the Genesis Mission team and power this new era of American innovation.” Accenture Federal Services, with approximately 15,000 employees, specializes in delivering transformative solutions for U.S. government agencies.
