Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) is a technology that uses mathematical models and time series data to simulate the atmospheric motion process through computers, predicting future meteorological conditions. Its aim is to improve the accuracy and timeliness of weather forecasts, providing scientific support for disaster prevention and mitigation, aviation and navigation, agricultural production, energy management, and other fields. NWP achieves fine-scale forecasting of meteorological elements such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed by solving atmospheric physical equations and integrating observational data.
