Last year, NotebookLM was rolled out to more than 200 countries, and now the platform is further enhancing its accessibility by introducing multilingual Audio Overviews. These overviews transform your sources into engaging, podcast-like conversations, which were warmly received upon their launch in late 2022. Thanks to Gemini’s native audio support, users can now access Audio Overviews in a wide range of languages, including Afrikaans, Hindi, Turkish, and many others. This early version of the feature is just the beginning; we are committed to continued development and refinement based on user feedback. The updated system generates Audio Overviews in the preferred language set in your NotebookLM account. A new "Output Language" option has been added to the settings, allowing users to easily switch languages for their audio and chat responses. This flexibility is particularly useful for creating multilingual content or study materials. For instance, a teacher preparing a lesson on the Amazon rainforest can share a variety of resources with their students, such as a Portuguese documentary, a Spanish research paper, and English study reports.
